Good fact sheet to print out to give to all LSA’s/ Class teachers / parents – clearly outlines good practice tips and hints which could relate to many areas of SEN not just Dyslexia.

  1. A positive, personal account chock-a-block with sound ideas and strategies. With the Rose inquiry, IDP guidance & profile-raising and the 'No to Failure' project a lot of focus has gone on meeting the needs of dyslexic students. The willingness is there, it is the perenial limitations on funding and capacity that are main stumbling blocks.

    I read with great interest of the change in identification of students with dyslexia from a discrepanecy between IQ and attainments in literacy to "using measures of cognitive factors associated with dyslexia, such as phonological processing, verbal memrory and information processing speed".
